Lulu wondered what her friend Sparky was barking at--it wasn't like her neighbor to bark for no reason.

WOOF WOOF WOOF!

On his nightly patrol around the backyard, Sparky heard a noise coming from inside a bush. When he stopped and looked, there were two big eyes staring at him. Startled, he had jumped back and began to bark.

 But on closer inspection, he saw it was only a tiny kitten, scared by the Fourth of July fireworks that lit up the night sky.
